Manufacturing Process of ERW Pipe

Electric resistance welded (ERW) pipe is manufactured by cold-forming a sheet of steel into a cylindrical shape. Current is then passed between the two edges of the steel to heat the steel to a point at which the edges are forced together to form a bond without the use of welding filler material.

Welded steel pipe can be used for low-pressure fluid transport, also known as common welded pipe, commonly known as black pipe.Used for conveying low pressure liquid water, air, gas, oil, steam heating and so on.Steel tubes shall be joined with a wall thickness of one ordinary steel tube and one thickened steel tube, and shall be divided into unthreaded steel tube (smooth steel tube) and rebar tube.Steel tube specifications are expressed in nominal diameter (Mm), nominal diameter is the approximate value of the inside diameter.It is customary to use inches, e.g. 11 inches, 2 inches, etc.Welded steel tubes are used for low pressure fluids, not only for direct delivery of fluids, but also as raw materials for galvanized welded steel tubes for low pressure fluids.

Galvanized welded steel pipe can be used for low-pressure working fluid transport, also known as galvanized welded steel pipe, commonly known as white pipe.Used for conveying water, gas, gas, oil and other general low pressure fluids, such as heated steam, warm water or other hot dip galvanized welded steel tubes (electric furnace welding or electric welding).The steel pipe wall is divided into ordinary galvanized steel and galvanized thick steel, galvanized steel and unthreaded galvanized steel.Steel tube specifications are expressed in nominal diameter (Mm), nominal diameter is the approximate value of the inside diameter.Inches are usually used, such as 11x2.

In 2018, we build a new advanced RBE production line for LSAW pipe, size range from 16” to 56” (406.4mm-1422.4mm), wall thickness: 9.53mm-30mm.

Twenty φ245mm-φ820mm thermal expansion pipe production lines, we have our own high-tech physics and chemistry labs where we can conduct our own tests such as physical properties and chemical composition test, and as well, UT, hydraulic test, X-ray and other test equipment is available, which can meet all related standards and inspection requirements.
